The National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi's visible joy of getting nominated as a presidential candidate came to an abrupt end after got arrested immediately after receiving the Electoral Commission nod.
After his nomination, police ordered Kyagulanyi to disembark from his vehicle into a police van in an attempt to forcefully drive him home in Magere, Gayaza. As a result, the officers smashed the windscreen of Kyagulanyi's vehicle and wrestled with his security and supporters who tried to prevent the officers from taking their candidate.
