Eight people have been injured after the ceiling of House of Rest Ministries church collapsed today afternoon.
The church which was housed inside the former Fido Dido building along Kampala road caved in on people who's converged to hold prayers at around 1 pm.
According to eyewitnesses, one prayer session had ended and a few congregants were inside the building at the time of the collapse.
The injured have taken to Mulago hospital and the landlord and pastor of the church summoned by police to make statements.
Police have since cordoned off the building as investigations continue to establish the cause of the accident.
