Museveni appoints Alupo VP, FDC's Ssebugwawo minister

President Yoweri Museveni has today evening announced a new cabinet which included surprises such as the appointment of former Education minister Jessica Alupo as vice president.

Museveni has also appointed former speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga as first deputy minister and minister of East African Community Affairs.

Like he hinted last month that he's talking to members from the opposition parties, Museveni has appointed Forum for Democratic Change's Joyce Ssebugwawo. Ssebugwawo the former Lubaga Division mayoral seat to Zacchy Mberaze Mawula of the National Unity Platform. 

Below is a slightly abridged version of Museveni's statement

I hereby inform the country that By virtue of the Authority given to the President of Uganda by Articles: 108(2), 108A(1), 113(1) and 114(1) of the 1995 Constitution of the Republic of Uganda, I hereby appoint H.E. the Vice President, Rt. Hon. Prime Minister, Honourable
