Uganda's coronavirus cases rise to 56

Uganda has on Monday registered one new coronavirus case in a 46-year-old Burundian refugee who arrived from Tanzania and was quarantined in Rakai. That takes the country's national tally to 56 confirmed cases while 38 patients have recovered from the virus. The 

According to ministry of Health, a total of 1,177 samples tested on Monday while 10 more patients who recovered from the coronavirus disease were discharged from Entebbe General hospital.

Meanwhile, Tanzania is fast turning into East Africa's epicentre after 3 new deaths and 89 new cases were registered on Monday to taking the national tally to 254 cases while Kenya registered a further 11 new cases. 

USA had 1,262 deaths and 19,565 new cases, the UK registered a drop in deaths at 449 while the new cases were 4,674. Spain's deaths continue to drop after the European country registered only 399 deaths. Italy had 454 deaths, France 547 deaths, Germany 64.

In Brazil where the president joined protestors who were demonstrating against the lockdown, on Monday recorded 383 deaths. Sweden, like Tanzania that has resisted a total lockdown had 40 deaths and 392 cases.

Egypt registered 189 new cases (total 3,333) and 11 new deaths (total 250). South Africa with nearly identical cases at 3,300 cases registered 142 new cases and 4 new deaths. Morocco had 191 new cases and two new deaths. Algeria had 9 new deaths and 89 new cases. Tunisia registered no deaths but 5 new cases.
