Police reshuffle 100 officers

The police's human resource director has shuffled 107 senior police officers.

In a transfer message released on Wednesday evening by the assistant inspector general of police, Moses Balimwoyo, Vincent Ssekatte who has been spokesperson for the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) has been returned to general police.

Paul Kangave who has been spokesperson for Savannah region has been moved to Greater Masaka as regional spokesperson, replacing Lameck Kigozi who has been become the human resource manager at police headquarters.

Farouk Mutima has been appointed deputy director Welfare, Charles Birungi has been appointed deputy director Interpol replacing Benson Oyo Nyeko.

Ramathan Dona has been moved from CID headquarters to Rwizi as region CID commander and Barbra Alungat has been appointed deputy director at the Senior Command and Staff College in Bwebajja.

Bob Kagarura has been moved from Rwenzori West as regional police commander to Wamala regional RPC. He is replaced by Ignatius Oturo. Most of ASPs have been appointed district police commanders (DPCs), CID commanders and officers in charge of stations (OCs).
